Role in the project

Ericsson’s main role in the project is as a systems integrator of wireless infrastructure systems.

Key contribution

Key contributions are specifications and requirements of RF/mmW GaN-on-Si transistor technology (WP3) and module technology in WP4, design of RF/mmW high-efficiency amplifiers, and assembly of amplifier modules in WP6. Ericsson Research in Gothenburg brings the following expertise into the All2GaN project:

  • high-efficiency RF/mmW amplifier technology (circuit design)
  • system knowledge of 5G and emerging 6G radio access systems
  • high-volume manufacturing requirements for outdoor telecom equipment
